A Message from the Northeast Alumnae Team

Greetings from the NEAS team!

November is the month when we pause to give thanks for all that we have. Some of the things that I'm especially thankful for are the friendships and experience being a Tri Delta has afforded me. Founders' Day provides the perfect opportunity to reflect on what being a Tri Delta means. I hope your chapter has a wonderful and meaningful Founders' Day event in celebration of the 120th anniversary of Tri Delta's founding.

You can share your favorite Tri Delta and/or Founders' Day memories on the Northeast Pansy Post (NPP). The NPP blog was launched in October. It contains reference materials and articles you may find useful or want to comment on. You can access the NPP at http://pansypostne.wordpress.comFounders' DayThe day Tri Delta celebrates its founding is nearly upon us! Founders' Day 2008 resources, including the 2008 Founders' Day message, can be found on the Deltas Only side of the Web site.

Happy Founders' Day from the Northeast Alumnae Specialist Team!

Our sister, Jana Franck

Our UMaine sister, Jana Franck, passed away Friday night, 9/12/08. Her obituary can be found at the Bangor Daily News website, on 9/15/08.

Jana graduated from John Bapst Memorial High School in 1996. Jana was at the University of Maine, Orono, from 1996 to 1999. I can still remember Jana and Tessa coming through recruitment together.

Her mother Gwen had recently passed away and her family home burned to the ground in February. Our thoughts are with her family at this time.

Those who wish to remember Jana in a special way may make a donation to the Bangor Humane Society, 693B Mount Hope Avenue, Bangor, ME 04401.

Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com.

Her myspace page is still up, for those who wish to leave a memory there: http://www.myspace.com/jannamf.

Calling All Maine Tri Deltas!

We started this site for our Maine sisters ~ those in Maine and those from Maine ~ to keep in contact.

You can update us on what you've accomplished since your collegiate days or share your special memories of sisterhood.

We will update you on events like UMaine Homecoming and Tri Delta's National Convention.

In the bonds of sisterhood,

Laurie Dionne Babcock, Maine
